On April 26, 2012 A. Kebekov was wanted on charges of organizing or participating in illegal armed groups (Article 208 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

According to operational data, it was Aliaskhab Kebekov who ordered the murder of the most authoritative sheikh of the Republic Said-Afandi Chirkey.

On January 16, 2014 an audio was posted on YouTube with the voice of Ali Abu – Muhammad which talked of the death of the leader of the Caucasus Emirate, Doku Umarov , and that Abu Muhammad himself was offered to lead the Emirate.
